about us.
Meraki Timber Co was founded at the beginning of 2023, born out of a profound love for solid timber furniture and a deep passion for meticulous craftsmanship, something we take immense pride in.
Our goal is simple: we aim to create heirloom-quality pieces that can be cherished for generations to come. This is accomplished by collaborating closely with you to bring your dreams and ideas to life. We offer complete freedom when it comes to design input and encourage you to share any designs and ideas you might have, no matter the size.
meet the maker.
My name is Lachie, and I'm the face behind the operations here at Meraki Timber Co. I spent most of my life growing up in South Gippsland, often in my dad's factory, where I helped out with kitchens and various joinery tasks. This environment likely fostered my keen eye for detail and passion for perfection, traits that I carried into carpentry. I began as an apprentice in 2017 and qualified in 2021. I always found myself drawn to the more intricate aspects of carpentry, constantly challenging my eye for detail. This inclination led me naturally into the world of furniture, where I began my commission works in a tiny garden shed in Cape Woolamai before moving to my current space in Northcote in mid-2023.
Everything associated with this brand has been done by myself, something I'm quite proud of. So the next time you reach out, you'll know who's responding to you!
