details: all completely hand-cut joinery was used on this beauty From the curved lapped dovetails, the sliding dovetails, the drawer box dovetails to the bridle joint leg details, this one does not have a lack of detail or character and is reflected in it's beauty. The shape and layout of this desk was inspired by Kirby Furnitures writing desk, with the addition of a bit of Meraki flare to set it aside with the use of handmade brass handles and brass rods to give the drawers a floating appearance. I wanted to use contrasting species to add a bit of depth and to draw the eye of the viewer to the subtle curves and edge details of the drawers, while still keeping everything in uniform. It utilises Blum Movento drawer runners to really tie into the luxury feel of this office statement.
